BAIRRO ALTO HOTEL

In 2005, one of the founders inaugurated Bairro
Alto Hotel, Portugal’s first 5-star boutique hotel.

The founder had acquired the 18th-century building
in 2002, strategically located between two of Lisbon’s
most iconic neighborhoods. As a member of “The

In 2019, this airport hotel, along with the entire
Holiday Inn Express portfolio, was sold, marking a
successful chapter in the founder’s development of
IHG-branded properties in Portugal.

HOLIDAY INN – EXPONOR PORTO

The Holiday Inn Express Exponor Porto was a key
property in the founder’s IHG portfolio, serving as a
modern and accessible option for guests in the Porto
region. Known for its consistent service and convenient
location, it attracted a diverse clientele.

This Exponor property, like others in the portfolio, was
part of the 2019 sale, underlining the success of the
founder’s strategic expansion of the Holiday Inn Express
brand across Portugal.
